If you’re on Acumatica or Odoo without the support you need

Already on Acumatica, but not getting what you paid for?

We regularly meet companies that have run Acumatica for years without anyone showing them what it does natively. The system isn’t the problem. Nobody taught them how to use it.

The short version
If you only read one thing on this page
  1. 1The fix is usually less customization, not more: use what Acumatica does natively.
  2. 2Customizations that keep you from upgrading cost you features and can add cost at renewal.
  3. 3You can change Acumatica partners. Acumatica manages the process, and it starts with telling them.

Sound familiar?

What under-served Acumatica customers tell us.

“We’ve been on it for years and still export everything to Excel.
“Our customizations keep us from upgrading.
“We get billed for every call, and issues never quite get resolved.
“Nobody ever showed us how to build a report or an inquiry ourselves.

Getting value from the Acumatica you already own

Short answer: Start with a review of how you use the system against what it does natively. Replace customizations with standard functionality where you can, get current on upgrades, and train your team to build their own reports and inquiries.

  • A review of native functionality you already pay for and don’t use.
  • A plan to retire customizations that block upgrades.
  • Training so your team can run reports, generic inquiries and dashboards themselves.
  • Support billed for the time actually spent, with issues resolved completely.

Plain language

How changing Acumatica partners works

Acumatica controls partner changes. It’s designed to protect customers and partners, and it means the first call is to Acumatica, not to a new partner. When another partner’s customer contacts us directly, we tell Acumatica.

  1. 1Tell AcumaticaLet Acumatica know you want a different partner and why. Write down what isn’t working.
  2. 2MediationAcumatica usually tries to resolve it with your current partner first.
  3. 3IntroductionsIf you still want to change, Acumatica introduces a short list of partners. You can name one you’ve already researched.
  4. 4TransitionThe new partner reviews your system, your customizations and your upgrade status, then plans the handover.

A system your team actually uses

GCATS doesn’t just have Acumatica. They use it. Implementation starts with how teams actually work, then translates the complexity into clear processes people can adopt.

Questions we hear from companies in this spot

Can I change my Acumatica partner?

Yes. Tell Acumatica you want a change and why. Acumatica usually tries to resolve it with your current partner first, then introduces a short list of partners. You can name a partner you have already researched.

Why aren’t we getting value from Acumatica?

Most often because nobody showed your team what Acumatica does natively, and customizations were built instead. Those customizations can also keep you from upgrading.

What happens if we fall behind on Acumatica upgrades?

You lose access to new functionality, and staying far behind can put you out of step with Acumatica’s licensing terms and add cost at renewal. The usual cause is customizations that break on upgrade.
